Getting Started

How do I sign up for Joe?

Go to our signup page, create an account, connect your Jobber account via OAuth, and configure Joe's settings. Takes about 5 minutes. You start with a 30-day free trial.

Do I need Jobber to use Joe?

Right now, yes. Joe integrates with Jobber for calendar sync and client info. We're adding more platforms soon. Join waitlist for other platforms

How long does setup take?

5-10 minutes for basic setup. You'll need to:

  • Connect your Jobber account
  • Set your business hours
  • Configure Joe's intro message (or use default)
  • Get your dedicated phone number

Can I test Joe before giving clients his number?

Yes. Joe comes with a test mode. Use the test PIN (provided in dashboard) to call and try him out. Test calls don't count against your credits.

How Joe Works

What happens when someone calls Joe?

Joe answers, asks for their appointment PIN (sent to them earlier via text), checks your calendar availability, and books/reschedules/cancels appointments based on what they need.

Will my clients know Joe is a robot?

Probably. Joe sounds like AI. Most clients don't care—they just want their appointment booked quickly. If they prefer speaking to a human, they can call your main number.

What if Joe can't help someone?

Joe sends them (and you) a text with your contact info, so they can reach you directly. You also get a notification that Joe couldn't complete the call.

Can clients provide special instructions during calls?

Yes. Joe can take notes like gate codes, access instructions, or special requests, and adds them to the appointment in Jobber.

What if Joe screws up a booking?

Contact support immediately. If it's our fault, we'll refund the credit and help fix the issue. Joe's pretty reliable, but mistakes happen—we own them.

Pricing & Billing

How does the success-based pricing work?

You only pay (use a credit) when Joe successfully manages an appointment—booking, rescheduling, or canceling. Failed calls, hang-ups, or wrong numbers = 0 credits used.

What happens when I run out of credits?

You can manually buy top-up credits or enable auto-billing to purchase them automatically. Joe keeps working either way—you just can't exceed your credit balance without adding more.

Do unused credits roll over?

Plan credits reset each month. Top-up credits roll over and don't expire (unless you downgrade or cancel).

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. No contracts, no cancellation fees. You keep access until the end of your paid period. Top-up credits are forfeited on cancellation.

Is there really a free trial?

Yes. 30 days, no credit card required. Full access to all features.

Technical Stuff

Does Joe integrate with [other platform]?

Currently Joe only integrates with Jobber. We're building support for ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, and standalone (no platform) modes. Join waitlist

Can I customize what Joe says?

Yes. You can customize Joe's intro message, business hours, modification policies (e.g., "24-hour notice for cancellations"), and add extra context/FAQs.

What if my app isn't running when someone calls?

Joe lives in the cloud—he's always running even if your computer/phone is off. As long as you have an active subscription, Joe works 24/7.

How do I get my dedicated phone number?

When you subscribe, Joe automatically gets assigned a dedicated number from your region. You can see it on your dashboard.

Can I port my existing business number to Joe?

Not yet, but it's on our roadmap. For now, Joe gets a new dedicated number that you share with clients for scheduling.

Security & Privacy

Is my Jobber data secure?

Yes. We use OAuth (industry standard) to connect to Jobber—we never see your password. Joe only accesses calendar and client data needed for scheduling.

What data does Joe store?

Call recordings, transcripts, appointment details, and client information necessary for scheduling. We follow standard data protection practices.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. Contact support to request account and data deletion. We'll remove everything within 30 days.

Troubleshooting

Joe isn't answering calls. What's wrong?

Check your dashboard—your subscription might have lapsed, or you may have paused the service. If everything looks good, contact support.

Joe booked an appointment at the wrong time. Why?

Likely a calendar sync issue. Make sure your Jobber calendar is up to date, and check Joe's settings for correct timezone and business hours.

How do I change my plan?

Go to Settings > Billing, choose your new plan, and confirm. Changes take effect at your next billing cycle.

I need to pause Joe for a few weeks. Can I do that?

Yes. You can pause your subscription from Settings. You won't be charged while paused, but you also won't have service.
